Nitpicking

Sorry to nitpick, but this is the sort of sloppiness that just annoys the hell out of me.

In this otherwise fascinating article in the New York Times about Mozambique as a rising tourist destination, the author, after acknowledging that "Portuguese is the primary language" then refers to another place as a "cervezaria" which would be appropriate if he were in Equatorial Guinea where they speak Spanish! Cerveja is the word for beer in Portuguese and a place where they specialize in beer is a cervejaria. Nitpicking, but they should get it right.

In spanish, the right word is "cervecería". "Cervezaria" is an strange mix between spanish and portuguese, I suppose.

You are correct,of course. I think he just tacked on "ria" to cerveza.

None of the above! :P I'm fan of Independiente de Avellaneda, the "Rey de Copas", the argentinean team with more international cups in the world. And I'm very proud of this :)
