As you probably know, the Troopergate investigation has determined that Governor Sarah Palin "abused her power by violating Alaska Statute 39.52.110(a) of the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act."
Here is the part that makes Sarah Palin unfit for the vice-presidency and arguably to be governor:
In the report, the independent investigator, Stephen E. Branchflower, a former prosecutor in Anchorage, said that Ms. Palin wrongfully allowed her husband, Todd, to use state resources as part of the effort to have Trooper Wooten dismissed.
The report says she knowingly “permitted Todd Palin to use the governor’s office and the resources of the governor’s office, including access to state employees, to continue to contact subordinate state employees in an effort to find some way to get Trooper Wooten fired.”
Further, it says, she “knowingly permitted a situation to continue where impermissible pressure was placed on several subordinates in order to advance a personal agenda.”
Imagine ToddPalin near or in the Oval Office. Imagine him as his wife's enforcer on a national basis and not just dealing with personnel issues, but as her enforcer on foreign policy, monetary policy, trade and a host of other issues. She's unfit for her own office and I see no need to share her with the rest of the nation.

I said it over at LG&M - this is Nixon-style hooligan politics at its worst, like we haven't seen SINCE Nixon. It won't, but this should really scare the shit out of a LOT of people.
